Our StoryPixy came to me when she was not quite four months old, a mix of German Shepherd, Border Collie and Staffy. In those first months she had already been through so much that everything new felt like a threat to her. She was afraid, but she never ran. She always went forward. She did not get brave in a day. She grew with me, one small step at a time, until many things no longer hit her so hard and we could even go for walks, among other people and other animals. Everything Fearless Pixy stands for, she showed me first: that courage means taking the next step while you are still afraid. She gave this brand her name. We carry it forward the way she taught us.

Animal welfare education in Timor-Leste
Timor-Leste has almost no animal protection laws, and most people were never taught how to care for a dog. Proceeds support the animal welfare education of Happy Pets, the company behind Fearless Pixy: courses on dog care and training, school visits, TikTok videos in Tetum where people ask their questions in the comments and get the answer in the next video, and Sunny, the therapy dog who works alongside the founder and shows people what a dog can be, taking the fear out of meeting one.
Young women taking their lives into their own hands
The makers are employed by Happy Pets, the company behind Fearless Pixy. They run it day to day, from dog care and training to office, videos and customers, and they weave every piece. Every piece you carry is a piece of the future they are building for themselves. An income of her own is the first step towards choices of her own.

Every Fearless Pixy piece is woven in Dili by the young women of Happy Pets, the company behind the brand. Weaving is one part of a working day that is anything but narrow: they run the office and the books, design flyers, talk to customers, edit the videos and choose their topics, order what Timor-Leste does not sell, walk the dogs and trim their claws, cook dog food and dry beef ears for the shop, shoot the product photos, and get creative whenever a new keychain is due. Skills that let them take their own lives into their own hands.
